- Dates: Dates: Sept. 20 – Sept. 22 (IMUG); Sept. 23 (MACCS User Workshop)
Please join us for the 2021 International MACCS User Group (IMUG) meeting and MACCS User Workshop.
IMUG is held annually as a forum for the exchange of information and research experience among users
of the MACCS code and other nuclear power accident consequence codes. The MACCS User Workshop is a
training course for the MACCS computer code that is intended to provide demonstrations to users on
the model’s capabilities.
Your participation is crucial to make the IMUG a success. If you are interested in giving a
presentation at IMUG, please submit your proposed topic by August 20th to MACCScodes@nrc.gov for
consideration. The presentations will cover a wide range of topics related to consequence analysis
modeling and applications, as well as various case studies from the MACCS user community. However,
topics are not limited to just the MACCS code, as approaches using other consequence codes or
methods are encouraged.
The MACCS Workshop will focus on the new features of MACCS v4.1, which includes enhancements for
near-field modeling. MACCS v4.1 was released on 30 July 2021.
