Join us at the 2024 MACCS and RAMP User Group Meeting! Registration Closes October 11.

Registration for the 2024 MACCS and RAMP User Group Meeting continues. The User Group Meeting will be hosted by the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission from October 21st to 25th, 2024 in North Bethesda, Maryland (near Washington, DC), USA. Join your fellow nuclear accident consequence analysts and radiation protection experts in training, seminars, and discussions on the state-of-practice of consequence analysis and radiation protection codes. Featured codes include MACCS, RASCAL, CAP88, VARSKIN+, RADTRAN, and more. Come learn about NRC’s newest and upcoming codes, MACCSUI and SIERRA ATD, and tour the NRC’s Incident Response Command Center. This year, 2024 IMUG will be a joint meeting with the “Radiation Protection Computer Code Analysis and Maintenance Program (RAMP)” users group meeting. You will get an opportunity to learn about other NRC radiological codes and meet other users interested in atmospheric transport, dosimetry, and emergency preparedness. Additionally, this year the MACCS workshop will include hands-on training exercises. Workshop participants are encouraged to bring their laptops so they can learn and become proficient with the MACCS Code Suite.

Virtual or In-Person?

We encourage all users to come in-person. When feasible, the meetings will have an internet broadcast to allow virtual participants to attend using the Microsoft Teams platform. The workshops will be inperson only.

Registration

Registration is open and will be through the RAMP website. Registration has two steps. In step one, you will need to create a guest account on the RAMP website. See the instructions below for how to make a guest RAMP account. In step two, please use the following link: https://ramp.nrc-gateway.gov/form/october-2024-international-ramp- and choose Meetings | October 2024 User Group Meeting to register. Please see the attached ‘schedule at a glance’ for different events that you can select in your registration.

Software Availability

A portion of the 2024 IMUG-RAMP user group meetings will include workshops. Having the codes on your laptop will allow you to more fully participate in the workshops that you may wish to attend.
